Reading with your children

Reading with your children at a very young age is an important part of secure attachment, which is the mutually attuned bond of trust between the primary caretaker and the child. Secure attachment forms the basis for all future relationships, a sense of self worth, resilience to stress, ability to regulate emotions, and create meaningful connections with others.
The bond between parent and baby as they spend quality time and snuggle up with a book together, provides the baby the critical intimacy and affection they need.
